Screenshots of my Desktop using Linux specifically Ubuntu 8.10 and Slax:

Ubuntu 8.10: Simple Gnome Set Up

Ubuntu 8.10: First attempt with Fluxbox WM. Currently using Conky and urxvt w/ fake transparency.

Ubuntu 8.10: Second attempt with Fluxbox WM. Still using Conky, urxvt w/ fake transparency and customized Flux Menu.

Latest Slax: Running Slax on USB . Basic setup of Slax using KDE (default on Slax) and KSmoothDock Module.

Ubuntu 8.10: Fluxbox WM. Conky and urxvt. Running xcompmgr and using transset.
